They’ve reduced or eliminated features for non-American customers.The DRM-free downloads feature Comixology’s own site had is gone.The iOS and Android Comixology apps went through some changes, but is still more usable than the desktop and web Kindle apps for reading comics.It’s just the Kindle web reader, with no changes made to accommodate comics, save for a guided view option (that blows up each panel, but looks pixelated). There’s no dedicated comics web reader.As such, Comixology’s website is now more awkward and clunky to navigate, or even find comics. Comixology is now just a glorified subcategory of Kindle ebooks.Several reviews online have listed details of what’s wrong, but basically: So far, nothing about the switch has been an improvement, and there’ve been a lot of complaints. In February 2022, Amazon fully moved Comixology into the main Kindle section of Amazon’s site. Comixology also carries single issues, graphic novels, and trade paperbacks. Comixology carries nearly all of the major North American comic publishers, plus the major manga publishers.
